FastScanner IOS Guide

Step by step

1. On the app's main screen, tap "Camera" icon. To open an image from the Gallery instead, tap the "Photo" icon.

* To send email, delete or move multiple saved scans, tap "Edit" to enter edit mode. To create a folder, tap folder icon on the top left. Tap on one or more titles to add to action list. Tap delete, move in, move out or action icon on the toolbar to choose your action .

2. After taking a picture of your document, the "Adjust Frame" screen appears. Adjust the frame by dragging corners to match the corners of your document. When finish, tap "Next".

3. On the Preview screen, adjust brightness, rotation and color mode. Color mode button (the icon on the bottom right) cycles through three states:

* B&W: for monochrome processing;

* Color: for color photographs;

* Grayscale: for gray scale;

* Photo: for original image;

Tap "Save", the new page is saved automatically.

4. On the document view screen, the following options are available:

* To scan more pages to your document, tap the "Camera" or "Photo" icon on the toolbar. Return to step #2.

* To rename the document, tap pen icon on the toolbar.

* To email your document by PDF or JPEG format, tap action icon on the toolbar, tap "Email PDF" or "Email JPEG(s)".

* To open your PDF document in other apps like the free Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive app or others, tap action icon, tap "Open In".

* To upload your PDF document in other apps like the free Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive app or others, tap action icon, tap "Upload".

* To copy your PDF document, tap action icon, tap "Copy". You can paste your document into the current document or as a new document by tapping "Paste".

* To re-order pages, delete page or document, tap "Edit". You can quickly delete page or document by swipping to the left and tap Delete.

* Browse and zoom in on your document pages by tapping on the document pages. You can share, save to Gallery individual pages from this screen by tapping action icon and choose your action.

5. Tap "Close" to return to the main menu.

Setting PDF size and Document size

Tap the "Setting" button on main screen.

1. Default PDF page size: select the page size for exporting to PDF.

2. Default Document page size: select the page size for printing the document.

Uploading PDF documents to a PC

You can transfer your saved documents to your PC as PDF files, using the "File Sharing" feature of iTunes (iOS4 or later). To upload PDf documents to a PC:

1. Tap Settings button on main screen. Select "Documents storage". Tap the "Generate PDFs" button.


2. Run iTunes, connect your iPhone and select your phone's icon on the left panel.


3. Select "Apps" at the top and find the "File Sharing" section. Select "FastScanner", find the "PDFs" folder to the right, and select it.


4. Click "Save To". iTunes copies the folder to your computer.

Printing

If you do not have an AirPrint-compatible printer, you can still print to any network shared printer on a Mac or PC host. You will have to download and install the AirPrint activator utility on your Mac or PC. (The utility and instructions are available on the Web).
